Inspect what a JPEG, PNG, WebP, HEIC, or HEIF file may reveal before you share it. The tool looks for location, camera and device details, timestamps, author fields, comments, embedded previews, EXIF, XMP, and IPTC metadata.
A private copy is created by editing only the image container. The compressed image data and animation frames are not decoded, recompressed, or redrawn. ICC/sRGB color information and a minimal orientation tag are preserved so the picture keeps its colors and intended rotation.

Purpose and limits
GPS, camera/device identifiers, dates, authors, descriptions, comments, EXIF thumbnails, XMP, IPTC, and supported application metadata are removed when the container can be sanitized safely. An unrecognized HEIC item makes the file inspection-only.
ICC/sRGB color information and a minimal orientation value are retained. They are not treated as private content because removing them can change colors or rotation.
JPEG scan data, PNG IDAT data, WebP image chunks, HEVC image items, and animation frames are copied unchanged. No canvas or image decoder is used and no image quality is lost.
This version supports JPEG, PNG, WebP, HEIC, and HEIF up to 50 MiB. Multi-picture or Ultra HDR JPEGs remain inspection-only. A HEIC file is also inspection-only when its metadata is compressed, protected, unrecognized, overlapping, or otherwise unsafe to replace without changing its visual rendition.
HEIC cleaning replaces only located EXIF and XMP payload bytes without moving container items. HEVC images, color properties, orientation, thumbnails, depth data, HDR gain maps, and other auxiliary images stay at their original offsets. Unsupported layouts fail closed.
The tool cannot remove a face, address, reflection, visible text, watermark, or information encoded in the image pixels. Review the visible picture before sharing it.
The downloaded copy is checked again by this parser. “Clean” means no supported privacy metadata was detected; it is not a forensic or steganography guarantee.
