Know the metadata, then review the whole document
Office, ODF & EPUB
The worker inspects selected package metadata XML and structural flags. OOXML relationship targets and comment-author fields are checked where present. Embedded document contents and media are not decoded.
PDF is partial
The inspector reads a plain referenced /Info dictionary and visible XMP packet. Compressed object streams, annotations, page text, and embedded objects are not parsed.
Archive safety limits
Maximum file 40 MiB, 2,000 entries, 160 MiB declared uncompressed, 2 MiB per scanned entry, and 16 MiB across scanned metadata. Unsupported or encrypted structures are rejected or marked not inspected.
Not a cleaner
This tool never edits, saves, signs, or re-exports a document. Removing metadata safely is format-specific and needs separate validation.
Before sharing
Review the visible content, comments, revisions, links, images, attachments, and any unsupported sections with the application that created the document.
